Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the questions traders ask most often.
What is Tradezlist?
Tradezlist is a local-first marketplace for trading items with neighbors. No auctions, no cash bidding — just honest swaps.
Is Tradezlist for buying or trading?
Trading. Every listing is meant to be swapped for other items. Some traders may add a small amount of cash to balance a trade, but it isn't a buy-and-sell marketplace.
How do trade offers work?
Stack one or more of your inventory items into an offer, add a short note if you'd like, and send it. The other trader can accept, decline, or counter.
What does red / yellow / green mean?
Red = not interested. Yellow = still thinking or countering. Green = you're in. When both sides hit green, the trade is on.
When do contact details unlock?
Contact info stays private until both sides agree to move forward. That keeps early conversations safe and lets you back out without sharing personal details.
Can I report a suspicious listing?
Yes. Every listing has a 🚩 Red Flags button. Reports are private and reviewed by our team.
What items are not allowed?
See the Prohibited Items page for the full list. Weapons, illegal drugs, stolen goods, counterfeits, and adult services are never allowed.
What should I do if a trade feels unsafe?
Trust your instincts. Cancel the trade, keep your contact info private, and use Red Flags to report the user. If you're in danger, contact local authorities.
Can I edit or remove my listing?
Yes. Open your listing from the My Trades page and you can edit details or take it down at any time.
